I use a messenger bag at work. Mine is just like this one. I carry notebooks, pens, pencils, business cards, etc. We brought it on the cruise as our carry-on for plane travel. We take it to the pool and keep Suzanne’s novel in it, sun block, etc. I’m rummaging around in the bottom when suddenly I find
3 individually wrapped single-edge razor blades.
Suzanne and I stare at each other as I show her what’s in my hand.
As a designer, normally I use an Exacto-knife with a number 11 blade. It’s what I’ve used for years. Occasionally I need to cut something heavy, so I keep some razor blades to do that.
However.
This bag got X-rayed in Rochester. In Philly. In Fort Myers. Again in Miami. I carried these razor blades on the plane everywhere I went. None of the security measures found them.
I thought I had emptied everything out before the trip, but I obviously missed these.
